David Duncan
Biography
David currently serves as the Enterprise Software Division Marketing Leader for Broadcom Inc., formerly CA Technologies.
Prior to joining Broadcom, David was the VP of Worldwide Marketing at Tenable Network Security, responsible for global marketing strategy and execution. Previously, David served as Chief Marketing Officer of Webroot, a leading cybersecurity company focused on endpoint security and threat intelligence. Prior to his role at Webroot, David was responsible for developing and leading the secure storage go-to-market product strategy for Imation Corporation, having joined the company after the acquisition of EncryptX in 2011, where he was founder, president and managing director for 10 years. Earlier in his career, David served in various sales and marketing leadership roles at Tactical Marketing Ventures/Channel Tactics, RL Polk, and StorageTek.
David’s career in cybersecurity began with the U.S. Air Force, spending 10 years assigned to the U.S. National Security Agency as an airborne cryptologic linguist performing intelligence collection operations and cryptographic analysis. A well-known speaker on cybersecurity, he is the author of five patent filings related to information security for email and portable storage devices, encryption, authentication and digital rights management.
David received his B.S. from the University of Maryland, his Master’s degree in Computer Information Systems from Regis University, and his M.B.A (Marketing and International Business) from the University of Colorado.
